Start with a familiar Latin layout

The Indonesian exercises use ordinary Latin letters. Keep the layout you normally use, such as US QWERTY, and confirm where its hyphen sits. A different physical keyboard is not required just because the text language has changed.

For beginners coming from another script, first identify each letter in the sample. The typing lesson trains faithful entry; it does not replace learning how to pronounce the word or use it in a conversation.

Keep digraphs and repeated words complete

In dengan and bunga, watch the n-g transition rather than treating the two letters as a single key. In banyak, keep n-y in order. The first drill makes these transitions short enough to repeat without losing your place.

The second drill uses anak-anak and buku-buku. Include the hyphen with no surrounding spaces, and type both halves. A frequent copying error is to finish the first half and jump to the next word because the repeated part looks familiar.

Use spaces as deliberate boundaries

The final sentence asks you to preserve di as a separate word in di rumah. Type exactly the spaces displayed; this exercise is not asking you to infer or change the spelling. Read the whole phrase once before beginning so you can anticipate the next word.

When your line is correct, take an Indonesian word test followed by a quote test. The words test isolates movement; the quote adds capitalization and punctuation. Compare results within the same mode, since they ask for different work.
