Choose the output script before starting
The current Chinese practice library uses Simplified Chinese. Choose Simplified output in your IME for these samples. Traditional characters may convey the same word but can be different characters from the target, so they will not always match.
Pinyin is one possible input method; Wubi and other methods can also produce the requested text. Use your system input and leave Built-in practice unchecked. A Chinese language selection on the website does not install an IME or select its output mode.
Read the candidates instead of assuming the first
For 你好, a Pinyin IME can use the reading ni hao; 学习 uses xue xi. The reading can correspond to more than one character sequence. Inspect the suggestions and commit the exact phrase shown in the exercise.
The candidate list may adapt to previous use, so a fixed number-key recipe is unreliable. Use the controls offered by your IME. Enter or Space may accept a candidate while composition is active; that action is different from inserting a literal space in the finished sentence.
Finish the phrase with Chinese punctuation
The second drill uses 中国 and 中文, with one intentional space between those practice items. The final sentence has no spaces between words and ends with 。. A Latin period is a different target character.
The sentence means that I study Chinese every day. First practise choosing its words accurately, then repeat it with fewer pauses. Keep comparisons within Chinese and the same method: reading candidates adds work that direct Latin-letter typing does not involve.
