Choose Bengali InScript or a system IME

A Bengali InScript layout uses fixed positions. A phonetic system follows its own spelling rules and suggestions. Pick one for the session. A guide for InScript cannot describe every phonetic keyboard or a different commercial layout.

The main test offers a named Bengali InScript reference. Leave Built-in practice unchecked when your device already types Bengali. The exercises below accept system text directly so that your usual composition controls keep working.

Practise vowel signs around one consonant

The first exercise holds ক constant and changes the vowel. In কি, enter the consonant before the dependent vowel sign, even though the sign appears on the left. Do not insert a space between them. The same principle lets the browser render the other forms as one readable unit.

If the sign appears separate, check for an extra space or an incorrect base letter. Work through the row slowly before attempting complete words; otherwise a spelling error and a keyboard error can be difficult to distinguish.

Build a conjunct, then return to words

The second drill isolates ক্র, প্র, and ত্র. For ক্র, the character sequence is ক + ্ + র. Let the font render the cluster instead of searching for a visually similar standalone symbol.

The sentence drill says that we read Bengali every day. Type it once without a timer and inspect the vowel signs in প্রতিদিন and পড়ি. Then choose a short Bengali test. Keep the same layout and compare your own clean attempts over time.
