Use Arabic input and logical reading order

Turn on your device's Arabic keyboard for these fields. They display right to left. Type the first word first, then continue in reading order; do not reverse the characters to imitate their positions on screen.

Arabic 101 is the named built-in reference in the main typing test. Other layouts and phonetic methods can differ. Choose System / other if your keyboard does not match, and leave Built-in practice unchecked for native Arabic input.

Recognize letters through their changing shapes

Arabic letters can look different depending on neighboring letters. The letter identity still matters more than the connected shape. The first drill isolates ا, أ, إ, and آ so that you can inspect their marks before typing them inside words.

The second drill uses مدرسة, كتاب, and لغة. Pay attention to ة at the ends of مدرسة and لغة. It is not ه. Let the font join letters normally; do not insert spaces inside a word to reproduce an isolated form.

Inspect punctuation without reversing the line

The final exercise includes the Arabic comma ، and a period. A Latin comma , will not match. When numbers or Latin words appear in Arabic text, the visual cursor can behave differently from what you expect; use the actual text order when correcting an error.

These examples omit vowel marks except where explicitly displayed. Other passages may include them. Copy the target as written, then review accuracy within Arabic and the same input method. The website's WPM unit is a measure of typed output, not a count of Arabic dictionary words.
